They cost +/- $700.00 per bear.

Are we too late to start on this for next summer?

The sooner, the better, of course. Plan on giving yourself a minimum of six months lead time between the start of planning and the start of the event.

Was it hard to get sponsors prior to the event?

YES! You have to admit the idea sounds crazy, but it works for everyone who tries it.

For all of the work involved did you make a good profit financially?

As of 2002, the Bearfest is non-profit, however it does support itself. 

Exposure for Belfast - was this good also?

Unbelievable... 75-100,000 people visited. Belfast had the 2nd highest increase in sales tax in Maine over last year.
